Petco hides alot

its true I have just left after working at a petco in maine for almost 14 years ,I have had to put some animals to sleep ourselves because of the suffering they had broken bones sticking out ,so sick ,many I held while they took their last breath ,birds,reptiles,small animals, going to the vet wasnt a quick thing sometimes it took a few weeks ,petco cares more about the dollar and not the animals ,they dont wat people there who really care ,just young kids low pay and part time people ,thats why customer service lacks ,no hours given in our store alone within the last 6 months alone we lost our manager,asst manager,long time cashier,and aquatic manager all had 14 years with petco ,let go to save money ,hours ,no loyalty with employees

Phones ringing off the hook, the whole front of the store stunk of smoke and I walk out frobt to see the manager and a grooming employee smoming right in front of the doors. Obviously poor customer service.

Petco - Fish Review from East Worcester, New York

For the second time we bought fish at the Poughkeepsie store and one or more were dead before we got home. Today while awaiting a refund my granddaughter counted 5 dead fish in different tanks.

I had my online order cancelled because of what I was told "shipping issues". I called customer service and was on the phone with them 2 hours and 15 minutes over the course of 2 days, 1 hour and 45 minutes of that time I was on hold. The agents, supervisors and managers all were unable to help me and the only consistent response I received was "we're trying to connect you with our agents in San Diego but no one is available". Considering that San Diego is corporate headquarters I find it hard to believe that not one person was ever available to help me. In all my years of dealing with customer service agents on the phone this is my #1 worst experience ever. And I still don't have my order.

i called to make a grooming appt for my dogs ive been there many times i only use one of the girls there cause the other girl has one of the biggest attitudes i have even heard her speaking down to the other girls when i went to pick up my dogs you dont do that especially in front of clients but come to find out my groomer is no longer there now i have to travel and find a new groomer quickly before the holidays what a burden for me she did so well on my dogs i hope she is employed somewhere maybe i can find her

I placed an order on December 9th 2014, today is Jan. 5th and still nothing.

I sent an email voicing my displeasure with my service and received an email stating my product is on back order. I checked the site and it's in stock.

Then I had my sister call to verify this and they assured her the item is in stock. I'm done with petco.

Petco - Fish Review from San Antonio, Texas

The works at 125 NW Loop 410, #350, La Plaza Del Norte, San Antonio, TX 78216 Dont know how to properly hand fish! The lady filled the back with sink water and dumped the fish into the bag. The fish quickly died of shock. Then she goes back in to get new ones and drops the fish in the sink and hands the fish with her hand almost crushing the fish. The fish quickly died as well as the others of shock from the sink water. I hope petco hands the problem by hiring people that actually know what their doing!!!

I ordered an expensive dog bed online with a "5-7 day" processing time and a "3-6" day shipping time. At business day 8 I called to ask why my item had not shipped. I got a runaround, no answer, just the very obvious prewritten speech of "I am so sorry I will check into it." I asked to cancel my order. Even though my item has not even left the warehouse, they told me I could not cancel. Also, if I now did not want the item, I would have to wait until it came to my home then I would have to personally drive it back to a store to return it. I asked for upper management and was give to "Leo" who I can tell was not upper management and was still reading from the same script as the first lady (who, by the way, REFUSED to provide me with her name). I have filed a complaint with my credit card company and have had the charge frozen. I hope these idiots still ship it. I will make them drive to my home to retrieve their mistake. WILL NEVER EVER EVER SHOP AT PETCO AGAIN. And I have four pets !

I am going through the same issue as we speak. They will not give me a straight answer at all on whether I will get beds for both my dogs by Christmas.

I ordered them on 11/28/2014 and it still has not shipped as of today, 12/16/2014.

Oh and I wanted to cancel and get a refund and if I do get a refund, it is typically processed in "5-7 business days" so I can't even get my money back in time to buy them elsewhere. Never again.

Petco - Fish Food Review from Bellevue, Washington

12/06/14 I was double charged for fish food while on trip to IL.Called store, oh yes, sometimes our machines DO that, just bring in receipt & we'll fix it. Well, I can't, I live in KY. Well, take it to Petco there. I can't. ..no Petco here. Sorry, we "could" send gift card instead. How can I use giftcard for a store I'll never see again? I just want my money back. Didn't tell them, but treats for dog out of the bin...she won't touch it. Bought Charlie Bears, she won't eat it either. ..both maybe old & stale. Their prices are laughable anyway! I'd NEVER stop again!

Sold me a sick bird , a sick 600$ bird . Within a year of its life it developed tumors all around its neck area . The bird has passed now , never buying from petco again.
