Petco in Los Angeles, California - Archaic Return System

I exchanged a light for my turtles on the 5th by the 15th it had burnt out so I went on my lunch break today to return and get my money back. When I exchanged my original item they kept my original receipt AND gave me a 'return receipt' Well guess what ladies and gents if you don't want to shop there anymore and just want your money back you're SOL if they give you a return receipt. I was told the systems weren't connected and they could not call the other store and make them look up the receipt. They would not look it up on my card they told me I would have to go back to original store where I made the exchange. Too bad it's over 100 mi away from me! All I wanted was cash back the cash I paid for the item. And all I received was a bunch of excuses. Hey Petco, this is why no one shops at your ghetto store! Get with the times. Look up receipts or I dunno give people back their ORIGINAL receipts!!

Bedbugs from petco shipment

I ordered online, three cat scratchy, kneading products. They look like corregated cardboard in a shirt box. They arrived three days after online purchase. I, and the cats were thrilled. The ad online boasted that each product comes with a bag of catnip. They did indeed come with a bag of catnip, but it was all moldy. You could smell the mold. I threw the bags of catnip away. I put the cat scratchy boxes on the floor for the cats to play with. Within a week I had bedbugs in my house. I have lived here for 11 years, never once had bedbugs. I believe these bugs came from/in the shipment. I threw everything out. It has cost me all my furniture, my state of well being and hundreds of dollars. Beware.............and my cats still have nothing to scratch on...............................

Petco - Animal Purchase Review

I love reading these post. I find that people like to place the blame of there own faults on everyone ELSE. When, as a responsible adult, we should research the care of an animal before we purchase one. Its NOT the fault of some stranger to make sure you are educated on something YOU want to care for. Yes the employee should gave better advice but nothing was or did prevent YOU from researching bearded dragons to make sure its something you can care for. If I am so LAZY I can not Google bearded dragons then I don't need one. So I feel since you did not feel it important enough to research the pet before purchasing, that you should share the blame. Be an adult and OWN IT!!!stops being lazy and do your own homework and stop blaming everyone else for YOUR ignorance. And if you do Google bearded dragon you will see that it is recommended for a baby dragon to be in AT LEAST a 10 gallon or bigger and eventually a 40 gallon. Ignorance seems to be your best friend...

Petco in Walnut Creek, California - Review

Petco aurora co: today I witnessed a dog being mauled by a groomer named JEN. When I reported to manager the manager talked to the groomers and they began laughing. I was horrified and contacted Petco's corporate office and a local Cruelty Investigator who works with law inforcement. They asked me if I would like to speak to the groomer and I replied ABSOLUTELY NOT. Unbelievably she came out anyway and I told her I was reporting her. Finally I asked the woman at the cash register how she could work next to the groomers with only a clear window in between when there was clearly abuse going on. She said: "I just don't look."

You did the rite thing. That is unacceptable behavior.

We are there to take care of your pets safely and effectively. I hope that groomer was terminated.

At least you're one of the decent people who report animal abuse when they see it, and not one of the people who see it and just complain to themselves or the person they are with. Thank you!!

Also, I think the cashier should have reported it, too.

They can do it anonymously, but they would be able to report on how bad/regular the abuse is.

Her saying she just doesn't look *** me off so bad!!! She's no better than the person who is doing the abuse!

Petco - Review about Staff from Chicago, Illinois

My family and I went to the petco store on 249 cypress(22511). there were a few employees in the store, no one greeted us and it took about 15 minutes until someone approached us, then the lady the helped us was rude, she seemed like she was having a bad day. Poor customer service. We are never going back to Petco. Petsmart will be my store from now on.

Petco in Stevenson Ranch, California - Gift card I was not able to use online

I received a gift card for 65$. On the back it said that I could use it online and in the store. I tried purchasing online and it would not work so I called petco. They said I could not use it online. I said it says in the back of the card that I can use it online. The customer service says I cant use it online. so much for outsourcing Petco because the people you have hired for customer service in Philippines thinks its ok to not validate what you have stated on the back of your cards. I have never heard of something so ridiculous. when you have it on the back of the card to use on like then just say sorry its not possible to use it online. Never again petco. never again. you have no morals.

Petco does not stand behing their products

I bought a Petco brand power head and it quit working 2 weeks later. They refused to exchange it or take care of it in any way. The mgr on duty was rude and very unproffessional. I will never do business with them again. I guess Petsmart just gained a new customer!!!! A company as big as Petco should stand behind all the products they sell, especially their brand. Absolutely ridiculous. I have spent over $600.00 in the store over the last 6-8 weeks, and they just lost me as a customer over $20.00. I bet Petsamrt would not lose a customer over $20.00

Petco in Atlanta, Georgia - Closed at 7 pm even though the time on the internet and front entrance clearly states 8 pm

I went to Petco in Edgewood district today. Got there right at 7 pm because I had already checked out the hours on the internet. When I walked an associate made an announcement stating that they were closing in one minute. I told him that I checked on the web and the time on there was 8 pm. He gave me an excuse that they should be closing at 7 like the rest of the stores but corporate changed it so now they are going back to the original time. Then why is the hours on the door 8 pm. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to change the time on the door! That was a waste of gas and more valuable my time!!!!! Get it together Petco!

I bought a product to be delivered on the same day and it arrived the next day (late afternoon) The product was on their website for 24.99$ plus 12$ Delivery. They charged me over 100% more. ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING!!!!! I paid over the phone for the same product plus tax 51.16$ When I called the woman that I spoke to said that they charge over 100% more for the same product if I ask for a delivery!

but if I want to pay the website price I have to go physically to the store. THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE!!! What an incredible way to trick the customers.

DON'T GET ANYTHING FROM PETCO IF YOU NEED A DELIVERY. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU OVER 100% MORE THAN THE STORE!!!!

This is the worst pet store I have ever been to the workers are so rude. There's a lady that didn't know anything at the register. The manager was rude and she she really didn't show any interest in her job she she seemed to have had a bad morning and.
