Petco in Bennington, Vermont - Horrible grooming experience

Petco said they would groom my Samoyed and Papillon even though "the groomer is not in today." They charged $66 for the Samoyed - full price - but then claimed to have only bathed her because the employee "wasn't allowed to cut off the mats in her fur" and she felt putting water on her fur would only tangle it more. I pointed out that to give me back a dog with her coat still blowing - undercoat still coming off in chunks for the summer - and still matted and smelly was unacceptable and I would not pay the $66. Of course I could not get the dogs back until I paid, so I had already submitted my credit card for payment. The manager was called in and said that I could come back the next day and they would shave the mats off and brush her out better the next day when the groomer was back for free. Of course they then the next day said that we had to buy a "shedless" treatment for another $35 in order to have the dog better groomed. I am contesting this charge through my credit card company and will be contacting the district manager and moving up the company ranks. I refuse to pay for something that was not done at all.

"Concerned," how is your opinion in any way "professional?" Show us your vet's degree or dog training credentials.

While I agree the vet bills should be paid, when you go into ANY grooming salon, you sign a paper that says you agree to let the groomers handle your dog.

If your dog is unruly or does not take to being groomed, then you should do it yourself.

If you are not physically able to care for a dog, then perhaps you shouldn't own one. They require a great deal of care.

Petco in State College, Pennsylvania - What the *** happened to my Whisker Shrimp?

I'm pissed because I bought 3 Whisker Shrimp from the store, one of them is dead the second day, and there's another one that I don't know WHAT the *** happened to. (disappeared) I can find only ONE SHRIMP in the tank now, and the customer service in-store said they would be EASY to care for. NOT! I need a VERY long talk to customer service to see what happened and if they were in the right type of enviroment, cause I SWEAR they were. Filler. Filler. Filler. Filler. Train, food, what, her, count, ***, mayo, furniture, this was a filler.

Petco.com sucks!

Order Placed: March 29, 2013 Amazon.com order number: 102-8123030-0968269 Seller's order number: 11024923 Order Total: $38.59 I ordered a cage based upon the photo provided to Amazon.com. it was not what I received so I decided to return it. I took it to the nearest store and was told I could only get store credit because I'd bought it on-line. after quite a bit of discussion, the store manager made a call, gave me some info and said it would be taken care of. so after months of no refund I called the number she'd given me and was told I needed to pick the cage up from the store and ship it back to Petco.com. After some more discussion it was decided that the store would ship it back for me. that was back in May and it's now July. I've given up getting my money back but I want people to be careful when dealing with the company.

Petco where my dog won't go again!!!

Well 4 the first time @ the fleming island store in Fl. we got screwed on a spa treatment 4 our dog 4 $64.00 & all it looked like we paid 4 a F'ed up hair cut & the groomer has no knowledge on her work & we were told that she did not put bows or a scarf on her & we always got one before & a small bottle of fragrance 4 free with the spa treatment but we won't be back all I have to say is """F""" you PETCO u won't screw me again!

I really agree with you and have had similar experiences. But try to use some punctuation and proper grammar, and our complaints may carry a little more weight with other consumers and corporations.

Right now, all our issues just look laughable.

Petco - Current employee, currently seeking new job.

I've only worked at Petco for 4 months and I'm already looking for a new job. I'm a bather in the grooming salon and my manager is slow, lazy and completely unorganized. If a grooming salon manager has ever been rude to you, messed up your dog, or has just provided bad service, imagine what it's like working under that person. She routinely *** up my schedule; changes it without telling me, schedules me for days I asked off WEEKS in advance and makes me work 8-9 hour shifts even though I'm supposed to be part-time. She also seems to like making fun of me when I get bit by dogs. Nice. So, I guess it's back to filling out applications.

I'm not on here complaining about my place of employment, while still collecting a check from them. I've seen the other places you have posted, Sessa, and the things you are involved in.

I have no desire to communicate with someone involved in such things. To each their own though, if they get off on such types of activities. Save your breath, I don't deal with excuses from people who deal in that disgusting type of stuff.
