Petco in Los Angeles, California - Keep calling during dinner to conduct a "survey"

I made the mistake of signing up for a PETCO card on my first visit to PETCO. That was a big mistake. Since then I have been repeatedly harassed by telemarketers calling me during dinner to conduct a "survey." Even though I have told them I have no intention of giving them any information and requested that they stop calling me, they have continued to do so. I contacted PETCO's customer service people, but they are just as annoying. No apology. They act as if there is something wrong with me that I don't want to have my dinner interrupted. I will never shop there again.

Petco in Maple Valley, Washington - Previous employee older than most

I have read and called stores complained about, to see if those complained about were fired. I sadly find that no they have not. I was, after checking out 1000's of people, complained about and fired. I was told I was rude. Why are just older people fired from Petco and not the younger ones for the same transgressions. Washington is an "at will" state but only the older employees are "at will" in terms of being let go. Petco is a sad, discrimitory employer. In order to collect unemployment quickly, one must bow to discrimination questions and give in. This is more than sad.

I bought a prong collar for my dog, but realized that night that it was way too big. The collar had said 18-35 lbs, however there was no way it was fitting my 22 lb dog. I wasn't able to return it for 2 weeks, but went to return it today. I couldn't find my receipt,...

I'm not sure what you're complaining about. It's unfortunate they were rude to you but if you couldn't pay for your items then what was the issue on their part? What did you want them to say..

Petco in Portage, Michigan - Animals dont live

Bought a Chinese water dragon today. Employees were nice one of the dragons was already died in the tank, the other looked fine. Took him two hours later died. Took him back got another one died also. I've been keeping lizards for a very long time and have been very successful with except when they come from petco. All the animals are delivered in the back of a truck piled up and no temp control just in the back who knows how many are in the tanks they are delivered in. I advise don't buy animals from petco they won't last long.

Yeah really how do you know how they are shipped? I work for a Petco and that is not how they are shipped.

If they ever came to us like that, that is an issue take. Up with the vendor and or courier. It would not go unaddressed. Also obviously if there is a water dragon in the cage, why would you buy another one out of the same cage?

You have no idea what happened to the animal it could have internal parasites.

You shouldn't have boughten it in the first place. The employee working at Petco also should not have sold the reptile knowing one had already died.

How do you know how their animals are delivered? All pet stores animals are delivered in a truck.

How are you acclimating them to their new home?

Petco in Spokane, Washington - Worst Customer Service

Today Petco lost my family as a customer for life. Their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. I wanted to exchange an online item but instead returned it to a local store. I wasted an hour of my time today because their customer service reps neither speak nor understand English and lack even an ounce of professionalism. Even on a corporate level all of their customer interaction is handled overseas. This process should have taken ten minutes to remedy but instead became a tedious, irritating time consuming experience. I question if Petco is even a US company. Never again will I give Petco even one dime of my hard earned money.

Petco in Las Cruces, New Mexico - My poor puppy

Took my puppy to petco for his first haircut. I asked that his ear hair be plucked and only a light trim. When I went to pick him up 5 hours after dropping him off they were getting near close and told me that he was all set and they had other dogs to get to in the back. Feeling rushed and not noticing anything on my puppy since he was very anxious I payed and left. When I got home I noticed my puppy wouldn't stop licking himself, they i realized his skin genitals were really red his ear hair was also left. I called to ask about the redness in his genitals and they told me it was razor burn and was very common. I took him to the vet anyways and they prescribed antibiotics. I will not be returning and now feel like I should learn to cut his heir myself because I'm not sure who I can trust to groom him.

Well, now you know your pup gets razorburn (just like humans). Either tell them next time, or don't take him back, or tell them not to shave him.

Most breeds really no not need to have their ear hair plugged, as most vets now believe that this actually causes more harm than good, however there are a few breeds that this is (unfortunately) necessary. Your money, your choice.

It's razor burn! Some dogs have sensitive skin it's not an abuse thing if it was his first groom they probably didn't know he'd get razor burn.

They trim the sanitary area short so that they don't get *** and *** in their fur. All you have to do is say your dog got razor burn and ask for a longer sanitary.

First of all how was your dog supposedly "injured". You never state this.

Secondly, what exactly is your disability. You are all over the board. You are depressed, in a wheelchair, deaf, can't tell when you're hungry, have PTSD etc. etc.

The list goes on! I call it as I see it ***
