Petco.com! Ridiculously Bad Customer Service

I ordered a dog create from them. Recieved confirmation via email and a Fed X tracking number the next day. Shipping was supposed to be 3-6 business days. Watched the tracking number waited a week and then called fed X to find out status. They bever recieved order only a request for a tracking number. So I called Petco.com, they said they would call me back the next day... they called me back with the same tracking number I gave them! When I reexplained that fed x dosent have it, they said Ill call you back tomorrow. Never called I called them and they said they would get a replacement sent... Lied and now two weeks later Im no place closer to getting my order! Dont gove me the runaround! Do what you say! Ther is no supervisor for me to talk to? NEVER order from Petco .com!!!!!

I also ordered dog crates, two of them. I never got a tracking number and two weeks after ordering, I called.

Well, I got an operator in the Philippines and they were very little help. I requested a supervisor and I'm not so sure I didn't get just another operator. They are very hard to communicate with and talk like scripted robots. I finally spoke to a third "supervisor" who looked at the records and told me that she would call back.

Never did! Three weeks later I called again this time very angry. they still could not tell me if/when the shipment would come. They could not find a shipping number.

I told them to cancel my order and they refused telling me it was already processed. I was quite angry and have tried to talk to someone in their corporate in the US. Guess what, that's not even an option. All of their operators including corporate customer service is in the Philippines.

I finally got someone to agree to cancel the order only to have them be arrive at my house the next day. Only after I purchased them at a Petco store who matched the online price. I immediately called back and told them to pick them up and make sure that I was not charged for them. That was finally done the next day.

Oh no that's not the end, today 10 days later I received yet another crate and immediately checked my bank account which this time was charged over $100.00 without my authorization. I'll stop now but I now have to wait 4 - 6 days for my money to be given back.

Don't know about you but I don't have $100 dollars to just throw around. Good luck to anyone who decides to use Petco.com

I took my golden retriever to Petco to get groomed. The disaster started when two hours after dropping her off they had not even started on grooming her. When they finally finished and we picked her up, she was favoring her eye, blinking and obviously in pain. We...

How do you "favor an eye"? Maybe she had a eyelash in it?

How did your vet not see this "chemical burn" the first time? You'd think it would have been more visible.

The open doggie treat bar in the Petco store in St. Joseph, MO. The treats always end up full of bugs and worms within a week or two and I have to throw them away. I can only get there about once a month as I live a distance away. I've tried keeping them in the...

They are contaminated when they come in.... I used to open up boxes and find little worms crawling...

also bad are the bulk pig/cow ears and all wild bird food. We had regular infestations of all three!

PETCO-after hours CS reps don't speak English

I attempted to place a large order online with an advertised PETCO promotion code for free shipping with orders over $60(good for 2 more days). The website wasn't cooperating, so I had to call CS (after 6PM PST. I was connected to an outsourced CS rep). The problem was, I was unable to fix the problem or even make the order with the rep on the phone because she couldn't understand the problem, much less couldn't put a coherent sentence in English together. It was several minutes of 'what?', 'sorry', 'hold-on, 'you want what?', 'who are you?', 'just go to a store' Sorry I know a lot companies outsource, but enough is enough. Get some of these jobs back from India, China, etc. and start employing America again.

I went into the E. Virginia Beach, VA to purchase some outfits for my 3 dogs. I found a clearance rack marked 75% off. The sign was balanced between the center of the 4 way rack and you were unable to read any writing below the 75% due to the fact it was covered. There...

Loss
$60
Due to a previous bad experience with petco's competition, petsmart, in the dog training position, I tried an experiment, just to see how PETCO and petsmart as well, would handle the situation. I applied at petco, being more than qualified for the position of dog...

Slugcult is right. Alot of time they will just keep the posts up incase they lose someone and already have people that are ready for the posistion.

Obviously they found someone more qualified to be the cat and dog manager and just kept the dog trainer where he's at. with the economy the way it is stop crying and be happy that you have a job and you shouldn't talk badly about where you work because you're just creating bad business for yourself.

you said yourself your a dog trainer with petsmart and in turn said you wouldn never take your dog for training there. you're so smart i think you should think of college rather than a new job

First of all as a groomer. you should have your aggressive dog be handled by one groomer only and ask to stay or have him sedated and have your vet do it.

If he bit someone he would be considered dangerous. No groomer wants to be bit its not fun as you can imagine. Be a responsible pet owner and know who is handling your pet at all times.

or keep a muzzle with you and bring him in with it on and instruct to not have it removed. Dont make excuses for your dogs bad habits.

Petco leads false advertising coupons.

The outside of the envelope I recieved from Petco stated "$5.00 off your next Petco purchase" I thought great I need dog food for my 13lb dog. When I get to the register Im informed I need to spend $50.00 to recieve this offer. Pissed me off. I could have gone to Petsmart which the food is less. But No it said $5.00 off which was a better deal then Petsmart price. The cashier would Not work with me in anyway but to say Sorry. When I asked for the manager..Out to lunch! SO Petco... dont false advertise on the outside. How are little dog owners in this economy gonna get a bit of the bennifit? I will NOT be returning to Petco!

BIG BOX STORES ARE WELL TRAINED IN MISLEADING CONSUMERS WITH THEIR ADS. THEY COUNT ON GETTING YOU INTO THEIR STORES AND SELLING YOU SOMETHING ELSE THAT YOU MAY NEED...AS LONG AS YOU ARE THERE.DO YOU LOW WAGE EARNERS THINK THAT YOU ARE NOT BEING USED BY CORPORATE POWERS THAT HAVE MASTERED THE ART OF MAKING BILLIONS OF DOLLARS FOR THE SHAREHOLDERS?

Totally your fault lady. I have gotten plenty of coupons for plenty of places and sometimes I forget to read the small print and the cashiers always point it out to me.

I also know that they can only do so much.

They can't discount a bag of food for 8.00 to 3.00. Just saying.

Im usually pretty polite and mild mannered...but you are the reason this country is in the ***...get your mothers nipple out of your mouth and grow up...its like reading a book and stopping 3/4 of the way through it, but getting pissed off because you wont read any further and dont know how it ends.

The coupons say, in small print, that you have to spend a minimum amount to get the discount. Maybe you should actually read the entire coupon?

Now don't get me wrong, I really dislike Petco and their policies, and I'm NOT defending them- but on another note- parents like this just irritate me. Just tell your kid the fish died!!!

She'll get over it!!!

My parents never shielded me from a pet's death, even at a young age- and I wasn't scarred for life. I can't stand parents who coddle their kids like this!

I went in on Friday, July 23, 2010 and purchased a baby bearded dragon, which I named Zeus, for just over $60. I also bought additional pet supplies such as food (meal-worms), a special kind of sand filled which has vitamins mixed in so that if they eat some by...

If you purchase a live animal, it is your responsibility to do your own research. I purchased a bearded dragon from Petco as well.

Although they have them on calci-sand, if you research you’ll find that it is very risky. Some bearded dragons do fine on sand, while others become impacted. Also, it is their responsibility to ensure that whenever a live animal is sold, the customer also purchased the right materials.

They have the right to refuse a sale if the health of the animal is of concern. As for them telling you it’s okay to put a baby bearded dragon in a 5 gallon tank, that is completely wrong of them and they should know better.I’m sorry for your loss, but once again, if you are purchasing a live animal it’s your responsibility to research and not rely on the information of a sales clerk.
