I made a purchase totaling $50 on 12/26 which ultimately did not meet my needs. Attempted to return the items 1/2 and was told a new return policy was in effect due to COVID.

Very strange considering there was no notice of the upcoming change in policy when I made the purchase and the salesperson did not notify me. Still strange that customers are in the store as normal touching anything and did not see staff walking around cleaning.

Still strange that another pet store, where I also purchased an item, which I also had to return, processed my return. So is the change in return policy really due to COVID or is COVID the excuse and the policy change is really due to Petcos upcoming IPO and making the books look good by keeping your customers money?

Preferred solution: Full refund.
