I called Petco.com customer service and they resolved my issue immediately by quickly sending me another cage, free of charge. Thank goodness the 2nd one had no holes and I was able to set it up immediately for my new chameleon, who was given to me in a very, very small cage (much too small for a full size chameleon). Unfortunately, the amount of time and stress that it took to get me the correct cage, without any holes, was unacceptable and made me think twice about using Petco.com again.

I went to my local Petco to purchase their "XL Reptibreeze Chameleon Cage" for my new chameleon since she came with a very small cage AND Petco's website showed that it was in stock there!! Besides, I didnt feel like ordering it online and waiting a week to receive it!!

When I got there, a very nice and very, VERY well educated manager explained that Petco doesnt keep the bigger reptile cages in ANY of their stores but promised me that they would order it for me online and have it shipped to my house for free , and that it would arrive no later than 3 days later. Well, the cage FINALLY arrived 10 days later via UPS with several holes in it, atleast .5" - 1" in diameter, on more than 3 sides of the cage (probably from UPS throwing the box around during shipping). So, I began googling ways to "sew" all of the holes up in her cage so they wouldn't get any bigger OR allow her dinner, AKA crickets, to escape. Once I finished my half-attempt at sewing it with wire and thread, I globbed a bunch of hot glue all over the holes to make sure everything would stay put.

After I saw what a horrendous job I had done, I was very frustrated and realized that I shouldn't have to go through this......so I called Petco.com's Customer Service. By this time, I was done with Petco and ready to order the same cage from a competitor for more money. I'm almost positive I was talking to someone in India since I couldn't understand a single word, BUT she immediately ordered me a brand new cage and had it here 2 days later....with absolutely NO holes in it. She also told me that I could just keep the one I had all ready "fixed" and put together rather than have me exchange it for the new one.

It was quite a pain to finally get what I wanted in the first place, almost 2 weeks later, but it all worked out OK. Also, I learned that Petco.com and Petco have 2 different prices on almost everything.....with Petco.com being cheaper!!!!

But, if you show them the difference on your phone OR just mention that you saw the cheaper price at home- they will look it up and give you the cheaper price on anything that you purchase in their stores!!! Their prices, both online and in store, are extremely competitive and cheaper than most other stores and everyone I have come in contact with (in both the store and via phone) are all extremely friendly and helpful.....so I will continue to shop there!!!

even after cust service took your word on dmg product & sent you new free replacement!!!

you should have only ++ thing to say...

cage was prob dmg as u said by ups
