PETCO deleted the following review when I posted it on their (online) review page: "A 64+ pound box (4 bags): Too heavy! Orders of 2 or more bags should be shipped with a limit of 2 bags per box.

My most recent purchase was for 4 bags. Fortunately the delivering UPS driver had a hand truck. Don't know whether UPS regs allow for the acceptance of a box weighing 64+ pounds. This situation also imposes a needless burden on the customer.

Fortunately there are two adults in my home so one box, with 4 bags, can be carried into my home with TWO people--one person at each end of the box! Finally it appears PETCO is trying to lower its overhead by shipping 4 (16 lb.) bags in one box.

This kind of thinking has the potential for "backfire" on PETCO. Some people might place an order with a merchant that has more rational packaging policies.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

I didn't like: Shipping four 16 pound bags of cat food in one box.
